Below are resources to monitor the current response to the COVID19 virus in the state of Georgia.
Vaccines Update - January 2022
On January 14, 2022, CMS issued a memo for states that had previously been excluded from the updated guidance on health care staff vaccination requirements.
Under this guidance some deadlines that were initially proposed have been changed. The new deadlines that CMS will be following in Georgia are as follows:
- February 14, 2022: Facilities must ensure 100 percent of staff have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine or have been granted (or have a pending request for) an exemption.
- March 15, 2022: Facilities must ensure 100 percent of staff have received the necessary doses to complete the vaccine series or have been granted an exemption.
- April 14, 2022: Facilities failing to maintain compliance may be subject to enforcement action on this date and thereafter.
